LANSING, Mich - Great Lakes Christian College Women's Volleyball Program and Coach Christy Lambright is VERY excited to announce her recruiting class for the 2021 season. Women's Volleyball program is coming off their first season since the program rebooted, the 2020 season was shortened COVID season that saw much progress as Coach Lamrbight and her group laid the foundation for many years to come. Coach Lambright returns five promising student athletes which features a lot of experienced youth. The COVID year gave each girl an extra year of eligibility and although four of her girls are Sophomore's in the classroom they are just freshmen on the court, which excites Lambright for the Crusaders future. In addition Lambright is bringing in six new student athletes this fall.
Sophie Lindsay 5'8" Left Hitter/Setter
Sophie is a calm, collected, and versatile player who is willing and able to fill any role we ask of her with excellence.
Stella Dunham 5'8" Middle Hitter
Stella is an all-around player who's skill in the middle will bring speed and power to our offense.
Alysa Earnst 5'4" Defensive Specialist
Alysa is a dedicated volleyball player who never gives up. Her perseverance and hard work is sure to pay off this season.
Mar'Kayla Mayhoe 5'3" Defensive Specialist/Left Hitter
MarKayla's speed on defense is a welcome addition to the team. She also has a powerful swing which will strike fear into the heart of our opponents.
Emma Hokanson 5'9" Left/Middle Hitter
Emma glides through the air and swings with authority. Emma's smooth and confident manner will be fun to watch this season.
Bella Lab 5'7" Outside Hitter
We are super excited about Bella as a student athlete. She will be a star on campus, and huge for our culture with her character and work ethic. She will be great addition to our team.
Coach Lambright was quote, "Every one of these girls have a great attitude and a heart of gold that goes along with their athletic talents. They are committed to growth and willing and able to put in the hard work that it will take to build this program. They are the perfect group upon which to build the foundation of GLCC Women's Volleyball".
GLCC Women's volleyball will open their season August 28th against Emmaus Bible College at the Grace Christian Tri-Match
