WSOC Place Three on NCCAA All American Team
LANSING, Mich. - The Great Lakes Christian College WSOC team postseason awards were announced Tuesday morning and GLCC was well represented on the NCCAA All American Team. Randi Fitzgerald was named 1st Team All American after a breakout campaign. Fitzgerald was the most prolific goal scorer in the NCCAA this season with 20 goals while also dishing out two assists for a total of 42 points. Malia Fry and Avery Carr joined Fitzgerald with second team honors. Fry a sophomore Goalkeeper anchored the Crusaders defense with a 1.36 GAA including 7 clean sheets and 84 saves. Carr a freshman Midfielder who spent time all over the field for the Crusaders made an immediate impact in her first year. Carr scored 12 goals and had three assists for 27 points to get the second team nod at the midfield position. The Crusaders were National Runners up this season falling to Providence in the National Championship game.
Coach Sibilski had this to say, "I couldn't be more happier for the 3 of them, They poured a lot of time and effort into our program and now they are getting rewarded for their commitment to excellence. I'm excited to see them on the field representing our program again next Fall."
