Women's Basketball Falls To Shawnee State University
Women's Basketball fell on the road to Shawnee State, 81–34, on December 30 at Waller Gymnasium. The Bears jumped out to an early lead, outscoring GLCC 20–7 in the first quarter and continuing to build separation in each period. Marin Abe and Dalys McGuinnis led the Crusaders with 13 points apiece, while McGuinnis added seven rebounds in 34 minutes of action. Shawnee State’s depth proved decisive, as the home team shot 42 percent from the field and held a 50–31 rebounding advantage. The Crusaders struggled offensively, shooting 26.8 percent overall and 3-for-16 from beyond the arc. The Crusaders will look to reestablish momentum at the turn of the new year.
