Crusaders Show Grit Through Challenging Opening Stretch
Women's Basketball opened its season with a tough road loss at Northwestern Ohio, falling 111–70 despite strong efforts from MaKensie Mondy and Dalys McGuinnis. The Crusaders then returned home to face Madonna, where they showed improved ball movement and rebounding but ultimately came up short 91–66. Mondy, McGuinnis, and Marin Abe led the offensive push, each contributing double-figure scoring. In their third contest, they battled Mount Mary in another high-tempo matchup, keeping the game close through the first half before Mount Mary pulled away late for a 92–74 win. Olivia McDavid and McGuinnis fueled the attack with efficient scoring and playmaking, while the bench added a spark from beyond the arc. Across all three games, the Crusaders demonstrated resilience, steady improvement, and a growing offensive rhythm as they continue to build early-season momentum.
