Crusaders Battle Late but Fall to Kent State Tuscarawas
In a tightly contested matchup, Women's Basketball battled evenly with Kent State Tuscarawas through three quarters before falling 86–74 after a late fourth-quarter surge by the Golden Eagles. The Crusaders showcased balanced scoring, highlighted by 19 points each from MaKensie Mondy and Dalys McGuinnis, who also pulled down 11 rebounds. Olivia McDavid and MyKenzie Kent added key buckets to keep the Crusaders within striking distance. Despite strong effort on the glass and solid ball movement, turnovers and Tuscarawas’ efficient 53% shooting made the difference late. The Crusaders fought hard defensively, forcing 26 turnovers, but couldn’t fully capitalize on all the extra possessions. Bench contributions from Marionna Dixon and O’licia Porritt provided sparks of energy and scoring. Overall, the Crusaders displayed grit and improved execution, continuing to grow through another competitive home contest.
