LIVONIA, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College Women's Basketball program had a busy first week of games playing four games in five days. Mystic Striker came into the game needing just three points to score her 1000th career point, and she reached the milestone early in the second quarter. She finished the game with 12 points. The shorthanded Crusaders battled hard against the Pomeroys, but the SMWC depth wore the Crusaders down in the third quarter as SMWC would build their lead to 24 in that quarter. The Crusaders would drop to 0-4 after 75-51 loss.
Inside the Box Score
- Leah Yanko led the Crusaders with 15 points and 11 rebounds
- Crusaders would get pounded on the glass as the Pomeroys would grab 29 offensive rebounds and hold 62-40 rebounding advantage
- Pomeroys pressure forced 29 Crusader turnovers but Crusaders would force 23 turnovers of their own.
- Pomeroys shot 34 percent on 86 shots compared to GLCC 33 percent on 61 shots
