ST. LOUIS - Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer was outmatched on Friday when they faced Harris-Stowe, losing 9-0 to their NAIA opponents.
Harris-Stowe opened the scoring the fourth minute and never looked back. A 24th-minute goal gave them a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The floodgates opened for the hosts in the second half as they scored seven more goals and rolled to a 9-0 win.
Ricardo Benini led Harris-Stowe's eight scorers with a pair of goals. He and Justin Donovan both contributed a pair of assists as well.
Great Lakes took only two shots (one on target) to HSSU's 28 (15 on target). Joshua Precious made one save for Harris-Stowe and Jaden Talley made six for GLCC.
Great Lakes will face the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis on Sunday.
