Men's Soccer ekes out 1-0 win over Maranatha
Watertown, Wisc. - Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer pulled off a close win on the road on Saturday, defeating Maranatha Baptist 1-0.
The first half was nip and tuck, with neither team creating many opportunities and the score remaining 0-0 into the break.
In the 56th minute, Great Lakes finally broke through, Kenan Kennedy scoring a goal that would prove to be the winner off an assist from Reddeck McMeeken.
Great Lakes only took nine shots, putting four of them on goal. Maranatha took only seven attempts, with five on target.
Alexzander Walker, starting in goal in place of Jaden Talley, who was serving his red card suspension, made four saves and kept the clean sheet for Great Lakes. Ian Baylo made two saves for Maranatha.
GLCC will embark on a road trip next week, facing Harris-Stowe on Friday.
