WYOMING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer's six-game winning streak came to a screeching halt on Wednesday as rival NCCAA DII #7 Grace Christian blanked them, 6-0.
Great Lakes conceded a pair of penalties in the first 15 minutes, both of which were scored by Zak TerMeer, to put themselves in an early 2-0 hole. Grace kept the pressure on in the first half, Ryan Cronkright ading to the lead and Johann Vega scoring twice to give the home team a commanding 5-0 lead at halftime.
Jorge Luis Saldanas-Veliz added one more for Grace in the 77th to push the final margin to 6-0.
Grace put up 17 shots, 13 on target. Two of GLCC's five shots were on frame. Jaden Talley made six saves for GLCC while Luis Vicario's two saves were enough for him to earn his clean sheet.
