CHESTERTON, Ind. - For the second time in eight days, Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer easily dispatched Fairhaven Baptist, 9-0 this time at FBC's home ground.
Kenan Kennedy paced Great Lakes with four goals, three of which came in the first 15 minutes to safely put GLCC ahead for good. A pair of goals by Gavin Talley and Harrison Case's first goal of the season gave Great Lakes a 6-0 lead at the break.
After Kennedy's fourth goal made it 7-0 early in the second half, goalkeeper Jaden Talley, who had kept a clean sheet in goal in the first half with two saves, picked up the first two goals of his Great Lakes career while playing in the field, pushing the final margin of victory to nine.
Reddeck McMeeken started the second half in goal for GLCC and made three saves while maintaining the shutout. GLCC outshot Fairhaven 34-9 with 17 of those attempts on frame. Leonce Ndayisaba and Zach Johnson both picked up two assists in the match.
The team will be back in action on Friday as they face Appalachian Bible College in a regional matchup at 2:30 at Henderson Field.
