Player Of The Week - LaTavius Vaughter

LANSING, Mich. - LaTavius Vaughter is this week's GLCC Player of the Week after two excellent performances against regional opponents for men's basketball.

LT led Great Lakes with 16 points on January 16 against Maranatha Baptist. Vaughter's efficient 7/10 shooting from the floor paced the Great Lakes offense as they picked up a 104-70 regional win.

Vaughter tallied a double-double against Grace on Saturday with 17 points and 10 rebounds as Great Lakes beat their rivals for the second time this season and picked up a second-straight regional win.

A 6'6" senior transfer from St. Clair County Community College, Vaughter has been a consistent contributer for GLCC this season, reaching double-digit scoring 11 times and averaging just over 10 points per contest.

His 57.4% field goal percentage leads the team (among those with at least three appearances) and he has started 19 of the team's 20 games. He provides a strong interior presence along with his stable shooting, ranking third on the team in rebounds with 4.2 per game and he leads the squad with 23 blocks.
