LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College men's basketball was tested by Lincoln Christian University on senior day, taking an 81-75 win on Friday to extend its winning steak.
Before the game, the program's four seniors, Jahmal Eggleston, Isiah Reed, Evan Tacey and Trent Temple were honored at midcourt with their families.
A 9-0 run gave GLCC an early lead, but Lincoln hung tough and the teams traded the lead late in the first, Great Lakes taking a 34-31 lead into the break.
GLCC held on to its lead in the second half, entending it to 68-57 with 6:07 left. LCU made a late push to cut the deficit to two, but a couple of late buckets for Great Lakes held off the charge.
Kylan Shipp led GLCC with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Trent Temple scored 15 and Jahmal Eggleston added 13.
Janssen Flotow led all scorers with 28. Josh Donaldson and Dominic Williams both had 12.
