Great Lakes Christian College Athletics Announce Fall Sport Schedules

LANSING, Mich.- Great Lakes Christian College Athletic department is pleased to announce the Fall Sport Schedules for the 2022 season. There is a lot of palpable buzz around the Crusader Fall Sports as Women's Soccer looks to challenge for another NCCAA DII National Championship, Men's Soccer looks to improve off their 7 win campaign with an exciting recruiting class to bolster a strong returning core, and Women's Volleyball starts a new era under new full time Head Coach Melvin Balogh. 

Men's Soccer Schedule

•  Men's soccer schedule features seven home games at Henderson Field this season, the Crusaders will open their home season on September 17th against USCAA opponent UC Clermont. Last season the Crusaders set new program mark going 7-4-2, including 3-1-1 in NCCAA play. Crusaders will open their season August 24th at IU Northwest. The Men's Soccer team will play four NCCAA games including home matchup versus Mideast Region powerhouse Grace Christian on September 21st. The schedule is well balanced with NAIA, D3, NCCAA and USCAA opponents.

Women's Soccer Schedule

•  Women's soccer schedule will begin it's third season of competition August 31st on the road against Governors State. WSOC won the NCCAA DII Mideast Region and NCCAA DII National Championship last season going 13-4-1. The Crusaders will look to continue the momentum the program has built over the last two seasons. The WSOC schedule features 8 home games and 8 games away from Henderson Field. The Crusaders home opener will be September 17th against UC Clermont. The Crusaders will play Grace Christian on September 21st at home as well as NCCAA Tournament Qualifier Faith Baptist at home on September 30th. The Crusaders schedule features five NAIAs, three D3s, two NCCAA DIs, three USCAA, and three NCCAA DIIs.

Women's Volleyball Schedule

• The Women's Volleyball schedule features 21 matches including five at the Doty Center. The heavy road schedule features four games at neutral court and twelve true road games. The Crusaders will open their season on the road at Moody Bible on August 26th. The Crusaders schedule features 10 NCCAA games, in addition the Crusaders will take on five NAIAs which will push the young Crusader squad. This will be the first season under Coach Melvin Balogh.
