Great Lakes Christian College Unveils New Athletic Logo

The Great Lakes Christian College Athletics Department is excited to announce a new Crusader logo as part of an athletic rebranding.

Richard Westerlund Director of Athletics and Head Men's Basketball Coach said, "We are very excited about the new logo. Foresight Group did a tremendous job creating something truly unique to Great Lakes Christian College.  I feel like the timing couldn't be any better, with the fresh start we have in the Athletic Department to unveil this new logo as part of our fresh start.  We feel this logo injects excitment not only with our current students, faculty, and staff but also our alumni with a clean and crisp logo we can be proud about. We felt it important that we incorporated Crusaders in our logo. We have generations of Crusaders who have been bold in living their faith our loud and serving the kingdom of God. We want this new logo to continue the generations of Crusaders who will impact the world for Christ.

"The department has had several different logos floating throughout the years and we wanted to simplify and streamline our branding. We feel the new logo captures the spirit and pride of our campus, as well as giving a strong identity to showcase our character and teamwork of our student athletes and Crusader fans," said Westerlund. 

With the launch of the new athletic identity the new logos will be the only logos used for new materials effective immediately. "With an institution like Great Lakes Christian College it will take some time for old identities to disappear, and we understand that.  As old shirts and printed materials don't simply vanish but as we move forward - this will be the identity of Great Lakes Christian College athletics."
